DIY Hot Wheels Track

I think my husband would have gone crazy,
if I didn't use up the massive amount of cereal boxes I saved!

So, I was thinking....and thinking some more.
I had seen a few pins of cereal box cities on Pinterest.
But thought, there has got to be something a little more fun to make.
I decided to pin the city up on the wall and make tracks to go with it!
It's pretty awesome. I've still got more to add on. That is one of the cool things about it, you can keep adding on.
What I used:
Old Cereal Boxes (really any old boxes will do)
Old Wrapping Paper
Scissors
Sharpie Markers
Masking Tape
Thumb Tacs

What I did:
1. Found lots of old boxes (cereal, pizza, etc.)
2. Used  left over wrapping paper from Christmas
3.Wrapped the old boxes like a present, but cut off the top flaps so it is open.
4. Decorated the box
5. Stick them to the wall with thumb tacs
6. Cut up another box to make tracks.
7. Stick them to the wall.
8. HAVE FUN!

Tips and Tricks:
Use Sharpie markers so the ink won't shmear, yes I said SHmear.

When making the tracks, bend about 1/2 an inch of the sides in. So the car will stay on the track!

Don't be worried about your artwork. haha
I know mine is professional...I mean...look at it.

I decided to leave the tops open, so the cars could crash into them. Sam love's it when they fall into the hole!
Beautiful I know.
I think it's cute.
It reminds me of the beginning scene in Toy Story when Andy makes an old Western town.
Sam loves it already.
He's been telling me where to stick things.

Hope ya like it!
